Engineering Protein Based Materials
The Obermeyer Group is a research group in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Columbia University.
The group is focused on understanding how molecular features of proteins impact biomolecular phase separation in vitro and in cells with the aim of developing protein based materials for applications in biomedicine and sustainability.
To learn more about our research explore our research and publication pages and to find opportunities to work with us check out the Join Us! page.
Prospective Ph.D. students enrolled at Columbia should contact Prof. Obermeyer to set up a meeting to learn more about our on-going research and current openings in the group. Additionally, please go to “Upcoming Events” if you are interested in joining us for our weekly group meeting (Mondays from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.).
